Question : What services does our marine towing company offer on Lake Coeur d’Alene?

Answer: We provide a variety of marine towing services tailored to Lake Coeur d’Alene, including boat towing, emergency assistance, and salvage operations. We specialize in assisting recreational and commercial vessels navigate and dock safely in the lake’s unique environment.

Question: I just bought a new boat... why would I need to call for a tow? or jumpstart? 

Answer: 7 out of 10 assistance calls have less than 80 hours running time on them. You might be having a great time on the lake sitting idle engine off with music blasting and your battery dies on you, or your boat is just faulty. 

Question: How can I request a towing service on Lake Coeur d’Alene?

A: To request a service, you can fill out a form on our website, email us, or call our local number available on our contact page. We offer both scheduled and emergency towing services to meet your needs.

Question: What should I do if my boat breaks down on Lake Coeur d’Alene?

Answer: Stay calm, drop anchor if necessary, and ensure everyone onboard is wearing a life jacket. Then, call Marine Rescue CDA at (208) 930-0200 or 208-283-8860. One of our licensed captains will respond as quickly as possible to assist you. if your event is life threatening please call 911 

Question: Do you work with boat insurance or towing coverage plans?

 

Answer: Yes! We work directly with several marine insurance providers including Progressive, Travelers, and Good Sam through their Sign & Glide programs. If you have coverage, we can often be dispatched directly through your insurer for reimbursement or direct billing. We also work with Most other companies but usually you have to get reimbursed after payment. Check your Policy for Towing coverage 

Question: What areas do you cover?

 

Answer: We primarily serve Lake Coeur d’Alene and its connected waterways but also assist in surrounding lakes and rivers when possible. Our salvage and recovery team is available for jobs within a 350-mile radius of Coeur d’Alene.

Question: What’s included in an Annual Marine Rescue CDA Towing membership? only $100 a year! (Restricted to Lake Coeur d' Alene and connected Waterways)

 

Answer: Our annual membership includes up to 2 incidents per season on Lake Coeur d’Alene, fuel delivery, jump starts, and soft ungroundings at no additional cost unless your in a no Tow Zone then out of Membership fees may incur  (Refer to Coverage Map). It’s the best peace-of-mind investment you can make for your boat and your family. Covers *Note* this does not cover Salvage or Recovery if your boat is taking on water membership will not cover it. Covers you from May 15th to October 15th 

Question: Can you help with sunken boats or heavy recovery?

 

Answer: Yes. In partnership with Precision Marine Salvage, we offer full salvage and recovery services — including underwater inspections, lifting equipment, and hazmat containment when needed. We’re equipped for both light and heavy-duty operations. 

Question: Are your captains certified?

 

Answer: Absolutely. All of our captains are USCG-licensed with decades of combined marine towing and salvage experience. Safety, professionalism, and local knowledge are at the core of our service.
